Revd Sara's weekly message - 24th October 2021

Sunday 24 October 2021

This week I would like to reflect on how we are ‘salt and light’ in our Communities.. supporting and attending community events, remembering them in our daily prayers and volunteering to be involved if we are able to.

I have already circulated opportunities to be involved with selling poppies for Remembrance at our local Supermarkets, Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s. Please let me know if you would like to join the list.

Salt brings taste, zest and joy to life. We are asked to liven things up by allowing the joy of our faith to spill over into the lives of others. Once we are able to develop a sincere and deep relationship with God, it will define us and flow out of us. To be light means that our faith must translate into action so that we can be Christ for others and extend the same arm of love, mercy and compassion that Christ did.

I also invite you to support the Royal British Legion in it’s Centenary Year. Details of their Christmas lunch on Thursday 9 December at Brackley Rugby Club are detailed below please contact Sue with your booking.
